How to get there: Mirissa is a beautiful coastal village located between Galle and Matara on the south coast of Sri Lanka.It is a tourist hot spot and attracts whale visitors and beach fans from all over the world (coconut tree hill, secret beach, parrot rock). It is approximately 40 minutes' drive from Galle (a popular beach destination home to World Heritage Sites Galle Fort) and a 2 hour drive from Colombo (the capital, Sri Lanka's main gateway) using southern expressway .
Your barge, boat or canoe will decrease its speed as well as it's engine's sound when reaching the region, whales are most seen.
